My 5 Favorite NBA Players To Watch... Currently.

First post of 2011. I know I've been slacking over the past three months but I apologize for nothing. Tonight's post involves my favorite 5 players to watch this year in the NBA. Hmm... I guess the title was self explanatory. On to the show....

5) Nick Young, Washington Wizards -- The Zach Randolph of guards. There is not a shot on the court that he has turned down. Which on the Wizards at least brings some excitement outside of that John Wall fellow. Oh yeah, this kid is legit.

4) Blake Griffin, Los Angeles Clippers -- The only knock against him is that I prefer guard play.

3) Derrick Rose, Chicago Bulls -- Before this season started I said "Give it two years and Derrick Rose will be the best point guard in the NBA". It looks like I was wrong.

2) LeBron James, Miami Heat -- Say what you will about him; the man is entertaining.

1) Monta Ellis, Golden State Warriors -- Soooo very slept on.

  1. Hmm, interesting, allow me to counter piece by "pierce..."

1.) PAUL PIERCE. aka THE TRUTH

By any measure (statistical or personal) this man is a top 10 baller in the game right now. Incredibly efficient season from both ends of the floor. Terrific outside shot, midrange game, dribble drive, draws fouls with the ebonicized herk a jerk, rebounds, passes, defends. Plays with a unique swagger, confidence, and old school game that few can replicate. Devastating one on one player in the clutch (the anti-lebron in that regard). Though he's getting up there in years, he has seamlessly (and "undouchily"..ahemm..Miami..) transformed his game to mesh with his team. 1st ballot hall of famer and slowly convincing the elderly of his legendary status as a top 3 Celtic of all time.

-Sick play from someone who has supposedly "lost a step". Told all yall haters he's been saving this stuff for years. Best shape and game of his life right now

  3. Notice it was players I like to watch the most. Im not a big fan of the fatties who have no leaping ability. I respect P Double's game but I don't enjoy watching it... oh yeah, from the vagina monologues. Charles and Kenny DESTROY HIM.

  4. 3.) Blake Griffin. Agreed. He dunks too hard not to like him. Charles barkley meets karl malone meets generic backup point guard's handle. Boom.

  5. 4.) TREVOR BOOKER aka my man T-BOOKS

Meet Blake Griffin's left-handed, lesser skilled, slightly blacker twin. Most powerful lefthanded spike dunk in the league today. Plays with a ton of athleticism and heart. Will either teach andray blatche to man up and stop being a ghetto dweeb or will force him to be traded in order to clear more pt. Developing jumper to go with a Leon Poweesque low post game (for those who are ignorant, this means he is surprisingly effective on the block and has a penchant for drawing contact while finishing). Future allstar/model citizen.

    Lebr.........NO.......Dway....CANT DO IT......Chri...STOP IT.................

    5.) EDDIE HOUSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's right ladies and gentlemen, eddie house. The only man in the NBA who can release a deadly 3 point shot on his way up from the ground.

  7. Honorable mention:

-Glen BIG BABY Davis (Note how he has made the concept of being a large baby into a good thing, consider this a minor representation of what the civil rights movement attempted with the nword, he has now established ownership of something that seems pejorative. The miami heat should take notes)
    -KG
    -Ray Ray
    -Perkules
    -Reggie Williams
    -Jamal Crawford (when unleashed)
    -Zach Randoplh (too obvious)
    -Durantula
